Aplicación móvil BodyWise para el aprendizaje del tema la sexualidad en los estudiantes de 3ro de bachillerato.

Abstract

BodyWise as a mobile application is an educational technological tool for teaching the topic of sexuality, with great support in education for learning the topic of sexuality. However, the implementation of technological tools to teach the subject has not been very well received by educational environments. This is due to different problems that are covered in the subject of Biology, specifically in the subject of sexuality, due to taboos, erroneous stigmatizations and prejudices accompanied by a flipped classroom methodology, little participation and lack of teacher training. Aware of this problem, the present graduation project called BodyWise mobile application for learning the topic of sexuality in 3rd year high school students, with the objective of implementing BodyWise as an educational mobile application for learning the topic of sexuality in 3rd year BGU students parallel A of the Roberto Rodas Educational Unit. Using a mixed approach within a socio-critical paradigm, an investigation was carried out that included surveys and interviews. The implementation of the BodyWise mobile app took place in 6 stages. The results obtained from the analysis of the surveys revealed that 73% of the students felt comfortable when using the app. In addition, 67% of the students would recommend the app. Additionally, an 80% improvement in students was observed through the pre- and post-test, which means that the app has a positive contribution to improving the understanding of the topic of sexuality. This study offers a significant contribution to the educational field by providing an innovative tool to promote a more complete and healthy understanding of sexuality among third-year high school students.
