| Abstract: | Sex Education is one of the most urgent challenges facing states and their educational systems. The literature has shown, for decades, how Sex Education can improve the material living conditions of individuals and societies; therefore, knowing the evolution of regulations related to its development, as well as instruments that address it in the educational system has transcendental importance. This article is composed of two sections: the first consists of a timeline that analyzes the evolution —and involution— of the Ecuadorian regulations regarding Sex Education and, the second, presents different instruments (guides, manuals and protocols) in force to work on Sex Education in the Ecuadorian educational system. Through a literature review, a systematization has been built that allows to fulfill the general objective of the article: to make available to the members of the educational community a compilation that works as a reference material and an interactive catalog of instruments that allow putting into practice Comprehensive Sexuality Education, from the technical recommendations and its fundamental approaches |
| Description: | La educación integral de la sexualidad (EIS) es uno de los retos más urgentes que tienen los Estados y sus sistemas educativos. La literatura ha evidenciado, desde hace décadas, cómo la EIS puede mejorar las condiciones materiales de vida de los individuos y de las sociedades; por lo que conocer la evolución de la normativa que se relaciona con su desarrollo, así como los instrumentos que la abordan en el sistema educativo, resulta de trascendental importancia. El presente artículo está compuesto por dos apartados: el primero consiste en una línea de tiempo que analiza la evolución —e involución— de la normativa ecuatoriana en torno a la EIS y el segundo presenta distintos instrumentos (guías, manuales y protocolos) vigentes para trabajar la EIS en el sistema educativo ecuatoriano. Mediante una revisión de literatura, se ha construido una sistematización que permita cumplir el objetivo general del artículo: poner a disposición de los miembros de la comunidad educativa una compilación que funcione como un material de consulta y un catálogo interactivo de instrumentos que permitan poner en práctica una Educación Integral de la Sexualidad, desde las recomendaciones técnicas y sus enfoque fundamentales. |
