Arte y educación inicial: una mirada hacia una educación en libertad

Abstract

The present research project arose from a problem observed in the pre-professional practice of the ninth cycle of the Initial Education career. Within the classroom, a normalization of the learning environment and specific slogans of the teacher was observed when carrying out the activities preventing the infants from making their own decisions. The general objective was to contribute to the construction of a free education by means of the application of a pedagogical proposal linked to art in children from 4 to 5 years of the Unidad Educativa "Luis Cordero" from Azogues city. The research corresponds to the socio-critical paradigm with a qualitative methodology, in addition to participatory action research, case study and applied type. The active participation of the researchers allowed us to identify the problem, make a theoretical-practical relationship and propose a solution with the support of data collection techniques and instruments applied to the study context. Finally, the results obtained reflected that the infants had an active participation in the pedagogical experiences worked through art, a condition that led to the development of their creativity, autonomy and conceptions of freedom.
