La cultura investigativa desde la mirada de los estudiantes del Instituto Superior Tecnológico Juan Bautista Vásquez

Abstract

At Instituto Superior Tecnológico Juan Bautista Vásquez (ISTJBV), insufficiency of research culture in first cycle students has been evidenced, research as a substantive process, contributes to the training of competent professionals, therefore, there is a need to analyze the factors that influence and motivate students to research culture. The objective of this study is to analyze the existing perceptions in institute's students, regarding the importance of the research culture i their professional training, understanding it as the bridge between academic work and the link with civil society within the university. Among the main findings, 70% of the students state that they are interested in research and in linking it to their professional fields; 98% indicate that it facilitates their learning, the development of competencies, improves their qualifications, generates a proactive attitude and new learning experiences, through Proyectos Integradores de Saberes and the accompaniment of their teachers, despite the difficulties of infrastructure and financial resources for research.
