Desarrollo de la motricidad fina en infantes de 2 a 3 años del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil Paraíso 7

Abstract

The main objective of this Curricular Integration Work (TIC) is to contribute to the development of fine motor skills in infants from 2 to 3 years of age at the Paraíso 7 Child Development Center in Azogues, through a system of finger painting activities. Fine motor skills were theoretically based from various perspectives: MINEDUC (2014), Leiva (et al. 2015), Serrano and Luque (2019). The authors discussed the importance of fine motor development in early childhood, as well as the processes of its development and pedagogical implications. This research has a case study methodology, from the socio-critical paradigm, with a qualitative approach. Some techniques and instruments were used, such as: interview, questionnaire, participant observation, photographic anecdotal record that were useful to record the necessary information on the subject matter. After collecting all the information, in the construction phase of the case, we proceeded to carry out a system of activities with the fingerprint painting technique for the development of fine motor skills called "I play and learn with my naughty fingers" with the purpose of that children can better stimulate their fine motor skills and demonstrate their skills, gain experiences and create meaningful and experiential learning. Finally, among the findings obtained in this research, it is evident that finger painting activities promote the development of fine motor skills through play-work, the empowerment of imagination, freedom and autonomy. The pedagogical processes show the benefits of finger painting in the system of activities where the infants managed to better grasp the objects, they were able to mobilize their hands, they knew the things in their environment and they managed to create art with their hands.
