Herramienta tecnológica Canva y su incidencia en la escritura en el aprendizaje del idioma inglés en los estudiantes de sexto de EGB

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of the web tool Canva on the development of writing skills in English learning for sixth-grade students at Ulises Chacón School. The methodology employed employs a quasi-experimental design applied in a cross-sectional manner with a quantitative approach. Pre and post tests and observations were applied to measure progress in English writing and assess the influence of Canva on the composition of simple expressions in this language. The results showed progress in the final average of the experimental group by 1,19 compared to the control group with 0.71. These findings indicate that the implementation of Canva in the educational process enhances written competence in English compared to traditional methods. In conclusion, it can be stated that Canva is a valuable and effective application for enhancing students' English writing skills by providing an interactive and creative platform. This study advocates for integrating educational technologies like Canva into English language teaching environments to improve language skills.
