Implementación de la Unidad Didáctica: “Dile No a la Discriminación Racial”

Abstract

The present work includes the planning and reflection on the didactic unit entitled "No to racial discrimination". The application was made with sixth grade students of the Mixed Fiscal School Carcelén located in Quito, Ecuador. In the planning of the seven classes of the unit are included the learning objectives, the didactic sequence implemented, the contents of each class and the resources used. In the application of this didactic unit, a series of methodological principles were taken into account that aimed to develop the reflective capacity of the students as an essential foundation for each student to freely adopt a position on the problem of racial discrimination. Section 4 includes a series of reflections on the implemented action and suggests a series of proposals to implement future units that address the issue of racism in our schools and colleges.
